Disney on My Tree - Day 5

Walt Disney was born on Dec 5, 1901. I had to feature an ornament in tribute to Mr. Disney's birthday.

In 2009, The Walt Disney Museum opened to the public. My family and I were lucky enough to visit this beautiful facility last fall. The museum celebrates the life and works of Walt Disney. It was founded by Walt's daughter, Diane Disney Miller, to showcase the adventures Walt embarked on to create all that is Disney. The museum is not affiliated with the Walt Disney Company. There are many personal stories, family photos, and items to see. The artwork and many galleries are inspiring.

This Disney ornament is simple in its design. It captures the museum's historic home at the Presido of San Francisco. The location is beautiful. The building was retrofitted and expanded to showcase the life adventures of Walt Disney. There is even a gorgeous view of the Golden Gate Bridge inside. The museum is definitely a must stop location for all fans of of Walt Disney.

I usually buy a small momento to commemorate our vacation adventures. Then we have lots of memories to share when we hang a particular ornament on our Christmas tree.

Happy Birthday, Walt! Thank you for helping us to dream big.
